Awesome time this summer! Camp, VBS, and Free Lunch Kids camp! Praying and striving to gather teams together for the Fall! What do you do to invite volunteers/partners back each year? Do you do a yearly commitment? I am getting ready to send out information for this upcoming year of 2012-2013 and I am striving to educate myself on this. Trying to keep the yearly commitment fresh and exciting. Thanks.

Nathan I have done sopme of these development things over the years with our nursery. We could not add a window and I really didn't want to because some parents look in until their child sees them and often waits for them to cry. So, I added cameras to each room with a monitor in the drop off lobby that parents could stand and watch as they want to. The emergency cribs I have gotten from different suppliers over the years but currently the ones I have are from Discount School Supplies. Just Google evacuation cribs and the suppliers come up.  Some years ago I set up a parent feedback form so I can continually keep up with trends and thoughts instead of a specific evaluation or critique. Nursery Smart Pages from Gospel Light is what I started with about 15 years ago and even though I have seen many other tools over the years I must say this is still a good basic tool to grow with. Hope it helps! Be Blessed!

Struggling with the continual development of nursery.  What resources are out there that offer an evaluation and a plan for overhaul or small tweeking?  One item needed is adding a window that has to be installed by cutting into steel studs.  Other item is updating cribs to have an emergency crib.  any ideas...

Hey, Michael! Just a follow up to say that Collaborate has, again, done what you hoped, connected families and the church. We have now established a leadership development program for our 3rd-5th graders, that combines parent teaching and encouraging along with the reinforcement of church leaders to help our kids grow spiritually. The chapter by Pastor Justyn about his All Star's was a great inspiration, and even though our program is somewhat different, he provided the basis for starting. Months down the road, your project is still inspiring. On to the next vision.....
Thanks!!
