God Was About To Speak

Posted on April 27, 2011 at 3:24pm 0 Comments

Growing up I was so fortunate to be raised by two loving parents that loved God.  Begin dubbed the ‘black sheep’ of the family I have always been thankful that my parents never gave up on me and always pointed me in the right direction.  Fortunately for me, my sister would from time to time take the mantel from me and have to face their discipline on her own.

One Friday afternoon when I was 10 my parents were on their way out of town.  They left specific instructions on what…

God Is Always With You!

Not long ago my Mom shared a story that helped me remember that God is always with us.  I wanted to pass it along!

In recent months, I have been lost in a spiritual desert.  I had lost all hope of finding my way back to the spiritual truths and faith that I had walked in for many years. It’s amazing to me how God speaks to us through our circumstances.

On a trip back to East Texas from Houston recently was no exception!  I was there to care…

Nobody is Perfect!

Posted on March 10, 2011 at 11:22am 2 Comments

When I was growing up I always thought that my brother and sister were perfect.  They never got in trouble and my parents were always pleased, no matter what they did.  There perfection made my life miserable!!!

You need to understand that my view of my siblings might have been a little skewed when I was growing up.  I honestly thought, I was the one always getting into trouble and disappointing my parents.  I was always in the “hot seat” and I felt like I was the black sheep of…

The Treasure Within

Posted on November 18, 2010 at 10:30am 2 Comments

A few weeks ago my wife and I took our daughters back to where we grew up. Our parents were in need of seeing their grandchildren. My wife’s parents were in the process of completing a beautiful new home. It’s actually their dream home. It’s a 2 story home that they have spent the better half of 2 years planning and building.…

Skype will work. Let me look up my skype name and I will let you know. Doubtful about the 15th of April.  Bad timing for me.

My wife is a huge 80's fan as well! Also, I saw your post about transitioning into junior high min. About to post a blog tomorrow on the idea.

Hey Clayton, yeah let's connect. Would love to meet up in person. Coming to Southern California anytime soon? If not, I would love to visit you in Texas sometime. Not sure how I can make that happen. But if I think hard enough can figure out something. Another idea - going to Group's Kid Min conference in October? I am. Maybe we can connect then.

Thanks for joining my group. I have heard on the gape vine that you really do make kids laugh!!!

Hoping everything is going great for you guys over there. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I can wash cars but you would need to ship them over here , probably not worth the cost).

Have Fun

Clayton  - I hope you can take a few minutes and check out Big Bible Town.  We'd really appreciate your thoughts and feedback on how CM's can use Big Bible Town in their ministries and with kids at home.
