This is definitely worth watching.  It has me re-evaluating what I do with my class on Sunday mornings.

Up-Goer Five Your Ideas

Posted on January 24, 2013 at 12:44pm 0 Comments

I just came across this meme called "Up-Goer Five."  The idea was to explain a complex subject with only the 1000 most common words.  This was first done to explain the Saturn 5 rocket.  Since "rocket" isn't one of the 1000 most common words (neither is the word "thousand"), it was called the "up-goer".

I also came across a …

I Love It When a Plan Comes Together

Sunday we were studying the story of Jesus being anointed by a sinful woman (Luke 7:36-50).  As an object lesson, I told the kids we were going to have a race.  Since they aren't all the same speed, I was going to line them up with the fastest farthest back.  I place one of the boys by the back wall, spaced the others at various distances from the wall, then placed the youngest closest to the door.  They started arguing about who was really the fastest, then I asked if they wanted…

Hi, Jeff!

"Mary Rice Hopkins & Puppets with A Heart" is a NEW Christian children's program which employs the use of live action, master puppetry, and song to create a weekly episodic program which equally entertains and teaches valuable life-choices to its young audience.

You can tune in Saturdays on TBN or view online.  This show deals with tough issues kids are facing today and will change children's hearts for a lifetime.  Program schedule on Saturdays:  8:30 a.m. (PST), 9:30 a.m. (MT), 10:30 a.m. (CT), and 11:30 a.m. (EST).

Dear Jeff,
We have some Christmas plays in our Inspiration Vault; the free lessons, training, etc, are posted by kids' ministry leaders around the world. The most popular play there is "The Reason for the Season"
Another in the Vault is Preschool Christmas Program Ideas. Those are in the Event/Holiday area. I believe there is at least another one in the Lesson/Drama area. There are 100's of free lessons there to bless your ministry and church, Jeff. My father pastored a church the size of your during my childhood and Gary and I have pastored both small and mega churches as adults, so we identify with the needs of your ministry. Please be blessed by the many free resources we provide.
Our Sitesr4KidsMinistry also has a large section of free curriculum and lessons. As for Christmas, under Creative Teaching/Drama in the S$KM, there are links to many free Christian drama sites. Hope this helps! Blessings! Alisa Linn,
