In some families, grandparents are raising their grandchildren and are doing double-duty as grandparents and parents. In other families, while they are not raising their grandchildren, they may be "involved"…

GO! Curriculum...Sneak Peak at the first 12 units!

GO! is a brand new (coming soon) CM curriculum unlike anything else.  What's so great about it?  In a word...it's "Godbibleeasyfunfamily"  I'm pretty sure that's a word.  (See the GO! video for the definition.)  Anyway, we just finished putting the final touch on the final lesson of the first year.  Looking back on the unit titles alone makes me VERY excited.  Here are the first 12 units coming your way:

Free Family Ministry Resources

For the past several months, our Family Ministry staff team has met to brainstorm and process what Family Ministry could look like at our church.  Two key elements that remain at the center of our discussions are (1) we believe that parents should be the primary influence in their children's lives and (2) our role as a church is to come alongside families and equip them to be that primary spiritual influence through intentional programming and resources.…

From the Mouths of Babes

The night started like any other. The flurry of activity; getting my son from school, figuring out what to do for dinner and still managing to get to church in time to help set up for Wednesday night activities. While it started normal enough, it did not end that way.

The trip home seemed like any other. Kim and I were chatting about miscellaneous stuff while our son did his thing in the back seat and our 3 year old daughter was happily talking to herself, while we basically ignored…

Your Doing Ministry Wrong

Your Doing Ministry Wrong

Ok, so God has called you to ministry. You have felt that unique call on your life. Maybe your friends and family think your crazy. Maybe you are. Either way the next question is,

What’s next?

For many of us the next step is to start thinking of what you are good at and what you enjoy. Maybe you start looking at schools. These are not bad thoughts and not bad places to start. But, you…

How CPC15 Changed Me: Invisible People.

Digital StillCamera Recently I attended the Children’s Pastor’s Conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It was a great experience, as these conferences usually are. How #CPC15 Changed Me: Walk By Faith

Today I continue a series on the experiences from the 2015 Children’s Pastor’s Conference that changed me.

While at the conference I had the chance to chat with a person that I had wanted to talk to, in person, for a while. I had spoken with him on the phone and had corresponded via FaceBook quite a bit. As I spoke with him at the conference he shared his story of how he got there. I’m leaving his name off because I know that he would rather this story be about God’s…
