What do you tell your people?

I had a Kid Konnex staff meeting on Friday night, one that I had put on the schedule prior to the recent economic downturn in my church. Naturally, I had no money for pizza or pop like I thought I would have, and so I told Pastor Lynn, my beautiful wife, that I was moving the meeting forward by thirty minutes and telling everyone that we would be drinking water. OK, the water thing was a joke, but Lynn would not hear of it. We bought the pizza ourselves, not because we had the money but because… Continue

Bravo to the Boston Tea Partiers!

Catching up on the news tonight, On The Record reported on the Boston Tea Party outbreaks over the nation. Bravo, bravo, bravo to the Americans who are expressing their outrage against the clouded decisions our Congressional leaders are making on “behalf” of America. The fear factor being hurled across the airwaves to receptive ears are nauseating at best. I’m encouraged that America is beginning to wake up, however, we probably should have set the alarm a bit earlier than we did. May God… Continue

Wake Up and Charge, America!

We’re in shock. We’re getting so many bombs thrown at us at once, we’re absolutely stock-still watching them detonate around us. Trillions – no longer billions, and millions seem light years away now – of dollars being “stimulated” at our children’s expense. What a greedy America we have become!

Whatever happened to the sacrifice parents once knew for their children, grandchildren and great-grands? Whatever happened to let’s roll up our sleeves, dig in and dig out of this mess… Continue

On a Positive Note.....

Everyone I know has had their budget reduced or eliminated. We are in the process of changing what we had planned in order to fit our budget. So, here is what I have discovered:

I can't do what I planned, but I can do something else. I am not going to stop doing what I do, just change.

I can't buy the software I needed, but I still have computers and spread sheets. Hooray!

I don't have the budget I want, but my God still provides exactly what I need when I need it.… Continue

The Trinity

The Trinity as defined by

Hastings Dictionary of the Bible Page 1015:

The Christian doctrine of God

as existing in three Persons and one Substance

is not demonstrable by logic or scriptual proof

Regardless, those that believe in and teach the Trinity

believe that it is, "...a necessary "hypothesis"

that there are three persons to the Godhead:

God the Father

The Holy Ghost (Spirit)

Jesus Christ the Son of… Continue

The Sacred Names

The Sacred Names were thought to be to Sacred

to be uttered and therefore they were removed

from the Scriptures over 6,800 times and

replaced with Lord or God

and so

Masses of Christians, have been pursuing

for many years, a personal relationship

with their Lord and Saviour

and yet, after all this time;

They, have never… Continue

Seal of God or Mark of the Beast

The "SIGN" or "SEAL" of GOD

in our HANDS or in our FOREHEADS

The Mark of the Beast

consists of a "mark"

in the right HAND or in the FOREHEAD

Rev 13:16

And he causeth all, both small and great,

rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark

With this in mind,

Read the next few verses

pertaining to the 7th-day Sabbath

which is a "sign" or "seal"

Ministry, Children, and Culture: Choose this day

The constant negative barrage of economic news from the media, as well as the consistent negativity from the change in Washington, D.C. is having an affect on the Christian church. Many folks, even those who are not threatened by recent economic events, have concluded that they must stop giving in order to survive. Offerings, which were already not at the standard they ought to have been, have shrunk. As good stewards, churches across America are reducing their budgets. Churches have never made… Continue

It's Really Up To Us!

What disturbing news we've been exposed to just in the past week. A 13-year-old father with a 15-year-old mother, and so much hype about it! A 15-year old and a 13-year old having sex, photographing it, and now it's appearing over cell phones of young people nationwide! I'm grateful for stations like Fox News Channel who takes a realistic approach about the effects of such unbelievable paths our children (children? yes, they are children) are embracing.

It is really shocking; in… Continue

Judas Asparagus

Judas Asparagus

If you need a laugh today, then this should do it!

A child was asked to write a book report on the entire Bible.

This is amazing and brought tears of laughter to my eyes.

I wonder how often we take for granted that children understand what we are teaching???

Through the eyes of a child:

The Children's Bible in a Nutshell

In the beginning, which occurred… Continue

Excerpt of my Book: How Are You Doing That?

“Mom! Dad! Wake up!” These words boom out of your child’s mouth as he races into your bedroom. “Please get up!” Your son gently nudges your side and pushes into your arm. “You’ve got to get me to school early today!” Your eyelids slowly open and your eyes start to focus. You’re shocked with what you see first. Your son is already dressed for school and is even holding your car keys! “It’s Kids for Christ day,” he says emphatically. “And I don’t want to miss it!”

Does such a scene… Continue
