Climbing Walls

I am looking for any church in the US that has a rock climbing wall. I am considering putting one in our new area, but would like to talk to someone who has been there and done that. If you can help me that would be great!

Welcoming New Families

A few weekends ago, I had the opportunity to talk with a family that was new to Faith Promise. As we talked, I found out that this "single again" dad with two school age children had taken his first step in looking for a new church family. He completed the necessary forms to get his children "checked in" and received a map of our children's environments. Soon after, a member of our host team escorted this father and his children to their classrooms.…

Children's Ministry Fellowship Breakfast

Dear Friend,

If one person can make a difference in a community, imagine the possibilities when we come together to work toward change. This will happen when we decide to take action and make a difference.

There are around 1,800 Christian churches in the Tarrant County area and about 1.1 million unchurched people and the number is growing. The resources and potential found in the church to reach young people are immeasurable, if we are only willing to join together and…

5 Steps to developing a child's work ethic!

The modern-day work ethic is a strange conundrum. People are busier than ever, working longer hours than ever, and producing more output than ever, but seem to have a poorer work ethic than ever!

Work is mostly seen as a means to an end, even as a necessary evil. Outside of overpriced…

Children’s Pastor: Why you might not be getting what you want from your Pastor

I have a lot of friends that are in the ministry. Often I sit back when we get together and just listen. It really surprises me that a lot of what they do is complain. They

complain that their Pastor won’t give them the money they want for a

new project, or that they feel micromanaged. I even spoke to a guy

once that was actually upset that his Pastor wanted him to pursue some

continuing education! There are many reasons…

One-Day "RAISING THE STANDARD IN CHILDREN'S MINISTRY" Workshop

We are so excited about what God has already begun to do through our children's ministry this year. It is our goal to reach 150,000 kids by the end of 2010. With a special emphasis on children's ministry workers and parents, we would like to facilitate a One-Day workshop in the following cities. We are looking to find a church interested in joining with us in empowering and equipping children's ministry workers.

We are interested in bringing the One-Day "RAISING THE STANDARD…

Itsjust4me encourages using Personalized Children’s Books as Learning Tools

Have you ever noticed how your child learned his or her name first, before mommy, daddy or anything else you tried to teach him? His name becomes equal to his identity. He immediately becomes more interested in objects and concepts as it relates to him.

A children's story book that includes his name will instantly be more meaningful than a run of the mill children's… Continue

Communicating with Children - Part 1 POSTURE

As a parent, one of the toughest challenges is to communicate effectively to our children. For that matter, it is one of the major challenges of any family.

As adults, we become accustomed to, well… to talking and thinking like adults. This generational difference interferes with our ability to relate to children. Consider this; adults probably can speak with some knowledge about current events, the… Continue

NEW CHURCH BUILDING!

Hello friends!

I am very excited to say that our church purchased a building as of late and we had our first Sunday on Jan 31st. We have been a church plant meeting in hotels and middle schools in the past three years. With our church growing so much it was only God that we were able to find a building that was perfect for us!

I know other church plants can share in the joy it is to actually have a place to meet and call your own so here are some picture of the undergoing… Continue

Jubilee Gang Update for Jan. 2010

Dear Friends and Partners:

We did our first event in 2010 in Marianna, FL at the West FL District AG Kids Convention. It was awesome to see so many children with talents during their Performing Arts Program on Friday night. Many of the performances by children in the West FL district were very heart touching. It was awesome to see elementary age children using their talents for Jesus.

During our Ministry time on Saturday Jan. 23rd, we saw around 70 children born again and… Continue
