It's a glaring reality that there are a lot more women in Children's Ministry than men. Why? Is it because we have made Children's Ministry too feminine? We give away "tote bags" to new volunteers...use feminine colors...create training activities geared toward women...ask men to stand in a circle and hold hands...and then wonder why they don't want to be a part of Children's Ministry.
It's time we "man up" Children's Ministry. …

We had such a huge response to our Christmas Advent calendar, especially when it was over. Even my own girls asked for days afterwards when we were going to do the calendar again. It was definitely a God thing and we loved that families were in God’s Word together.

A letter to aspiring Children’s Evangelist
First of all let me congratulate you for desiring to reach out to the most unreached group of people on earth today. There is a huge need for children’s Evangelist. There are way too many churches in America, way too many people dying and going to hell, and way to few people reaching children with the Gospel for there to be any competition among Children’s Evangelist. The Bible says in Romans 10:13-15, "Everyone who calls on the name of the…Continue

I’ve been burdened for awhile about how to provide better discipleship opportunities for our older elementary kids. We have a bunch of girls who really love Jesus and we’ve had parents asking for more opportunities.
And here’s where I got stuck. See, long ago, this was a passion of mine. I used to meet with 5th grade girls after school. I used to do leadership groups with the older kids. And then I had babies and the ministry grew and I just didn’t have the margin anymore to do…Continue

A few weeks ago as I talked about the core issues in family leadership I mentioned that there were deep needs in each spouse that need to be met as we try to live out the biblical relationship of husband and wife. At times, our words can be the same but have vastly different meanings…
