The year has been an interesting year for me. It would be great if when the clock struck midnight and the new year began, that all those things from this year would be over and forgotten and a new fresh start would begin with the new year. We all know that isn’t true. The things happening in December will continue into January.
As the new year begins, I wish I could share the direction that the web site was going to go, things that are planned, etc. but I am not able to do so at this…Continue
I will jump in with everyone and do my end of the year most viewed post for 2012.

I sincerely hope we fail this year in our Children's Ministry. Not fail miserably, but rather fail triumphantly. I hope we fail because we are sailing out into uncharted territory and not just coasting the waters close to home. We are not going to abandon the waters close to home. There are many things that are working great, but we always want to be looking out for opportunities to learn and grow from stretching…

First off, please accept my apologies for this confusion. Here's a picture of a cookie to make it better...
Now, if you are having…

Last week we saw that the Messiah’s bones would not be broken. However, the Old Testament prophecy does tell us that the Messiah would be pierced.
Old Testament Prophecy
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that…

BIBLE STORY (based on Luke 10:30-37):
(Every time the children hear the word “walking” in the story, they stand and walk in place. Tell the boys and girls that when you put your hand in the stop position, they are to be seated.)

I decided this year that I had slacked off on my reading. So, this coming year I’m planning on making up for it. In addition to reading through the Bible once or twice this year (I haven’t decided yet), my plan is tackle at least one book per week for a total of 52 books this year. The books reflect my interests, and I’ve tried to pick a variety of books. My main criteria was that I already owned all of the books (except for one which I couldn’t resist adding to the list). I figured I…Continue
